Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Blackjack Lens ("we", "us") covering the Blackjack Lens software ("the Software") and this website. By downloading, installing or using the Software, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18, or the legal gambling age where you live if that is higher. You must not use the Software anywhere that its use, or gambling itself, is unlawful.

2. What the Software is

The Software is analysis software. It shows mathematical estimates about blackjack hands. It is not a gambling service, takes no wagers, holds no funds, and never places bets or operates any casino interface for you. All gambling decisions, and their results, are yours alone.

4. Licence

Blackjack Lens is sold for a single one-time payment. Your licence key may be activated on up to 2 Windows PCs at a time. Licence keys may not be shared or resold. Because the Software is digital content delivered immediately, at checkout you ask for the download to start straight away and acknowledge that you then lose the 14-day EU right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)). If the Software does not work on any supported table on your PC, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for lawful purposes in line with these terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute it, except as open-source licences for included components allow. The licence ends automatically if you break these terms.

5. No guarantee of results

The Software's outputs are estimates. They can be wrong because of simulation error, approximations in the model, card-recognition mistakes, incorrect table rules, incomplete data, or bugs. Using the Software does not guarantee that you will win, or that you will lose less. Gambling involves risk of financial loss. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose.

THE SOFTWARE AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY GAMBLING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, CLOSED OR RESTRICTED ACCOUNTS, CONFISCATED FUNDS, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of this may not apply to you.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your breach of any law, or your breach of any third party's terms, including a casino operator's.

9. No affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any casino, gaming operator, game provider or live-dealer studio. Any third-party names or trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

10. Updates and support

Your purchase includes the updates we release for the Software during the 12 months after you buy it. After that the Software keeps working with the last version you received; you can optionally renew for further updates at the price shown on our website. Updates are released at our discretion: we may add, change or remove features, and game providers may change their tables in ways that stop the Software reading them until an update is available. We do not guarantee that any particular casino, provider or table will be supported, or will stay supported. Support is by email on a best-effort basis.

11. Intellectual property

The Software, this website and their content are owned by Blackjack Lens and protected by copyright. Apart from the licence in section 4, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the Software, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction.

12. Changes and termination

We may update these terms. We will change the "last updated" date and, for material changes, show a notice on this site. Changes do not reduce the rights you already have for a licence you have paid for. We may stop offering the Software at any time; if we stop supporting a licence within 12 months of your purchase for reasons other than your breach of these terms, we will refund you in proportion to the time remaining in that 12 months.

13. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Disputes go to the competent courts of Greece, unless the mandatory consumer law where you live says otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract. If you have a complaint, email us first; we aim to answer within 14 days. Consumers can also contact the Consumer Ombudsman of Greece (synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or the consumer authority where they live.

Privacy Policy

This website

This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Your browser keeps one local setting to remember that you answered the age prompt, and it is never sent to us. The Questions assistant answers common questions from a fixed list in your browser. Other questions you type are sent, with your last few messages in that chat, to an AI model run by our host (Cloudflare Workers AI) to write the answer. We do not store your questions or the answers; to prevent abuse we keep a count of questions per network address for one hour. Please don't type personal information into the assistant. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages), which may keep standard request logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and abuse prevention, for a limited period under its own privacy policy.

The Software

The browser connector (Blackjack Lens Connector)

Optional: help add an unsupported casino

If you choose to help add unsupported casinos (one question when you install the connector, or the Help add this casino button) on a table the Software cannot read yet, Blackjack Lens sends anonymous samples of that table's game messages to the Blackjack Lens website so we can add support for it. Before anything leaves your computer, Blackjack Lens removes nicknames, player and session IDs, balances, bet and win amounts, chat and any other text. Only message names, card values, seat numbers and the game server's name remain. They are read automatically, including by an AI model run by our hosting provider Cloudflare, to work out how the table's messages describe the cards; the result is published as a table description every Blackjack Lens user receives. At most three such reports are sent per day. This is off unless you choose it, and you can turn it off at any time with Turn off in the connector. We use these samples only to add casino support. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or share them with third parties.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we keep them for no longer than we need to.

Who is responsible, and on what basis

The data controller is Blackjack Lens, Greece ([email protected]). We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on these bases:

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) stores the website and the optional casino samples, and our licensing and payment provider (named at checkout) handles purchases. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, they rely on safeguards approved under the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

This site does not use cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is a note that you confirmed your age, which is strictly necessary for the age prompt and never sent to us. For that reason it does not show a cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email [email protected]; we answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr) or the data protection authority where you live. The Software and site are for adults only; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
